Tom and Ellie checked into the cozy NickMoore Hotel in Bangor, Maine last week, spending four fun-filled days in a glorious Maine autumn.

Highlights included a tour of the University of Maine campus, visits to the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport and the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland;  a ride aboard a working lobster boat in Frenchman Bay and a visit to Acadia National Park.

They also bought me a terrific birthday dinner at the James Beard award-winning restaurant Primo, in Rockland.

Tom and Ellie checked out Oct. 20 for four more days in Maine… destination unknown. “We’ll see what happens,” said Tom.

The trip will conclude with a visit to Aunt JoAnne and Uncle Ernie in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

Thanks for the visit Mom and Dad. It was great to see you and you made my birthday a special one.

What a great opportunity for them to see you and the Pine Tree State!

  2. A working lobster boat? Now that’s awesome. Happy belated b-day, Mark!
